We no longer jab the pups we sell for several reasons. One being that some vets insisted on re=jabbing the pups before aggreeing to register them   at their practice. Another was due to us not being able to give vet certification, this is needed when applying for a pet passport. We vaccinated with Duramune and continue to vaccinate our own dogs annually with Duramune. Duramune is an all in one vaccine in two bottles to be mixed together and administered by subcutaneous injection, twice, two weeks apart. The advantage of Duramune is that dogs can be vaccinated at 6 and 8 weeks, 2 weeks earlier than most other vaccinations. An advantage when socialising your puppy. Micro chipping also caused problems as we had the chips registered to us. Some people were not happy with this although the purpose was simply to make sure that if a dog that we had bred was taken to a rescue then we would be informed and take care of the dog, as all breeders should. Purchase agreements also proved problematic as when people breached them they proved costly and difficult to enforce. It is a shame that agencies such as Trading Standards are not more supportive of the few breeders that do try and prevent their pups being dumped in rescues or used by puppy farmers. Sadly we are still waiting for the promised draft agreement from trading standards, 6 months after seeking advice from them.
