At Suffolk Bullbreeds we only breed, happy healthy dogs. We breed for health and temperament above all else. Our dogs are all family pets first and foremost and with the exception of one dog, all live indoors. We only breed from some of our dogs. Two of our dogs are rescues and have various problems.

Future litters, will be microchipped. Chips will be registered to us. This is to make sure that if any dog we have bred ends up at a rescue we can collect the dog and find him/her a new home. A condition of sale listed in our purchase agreement, states that no pup bred by us is to be re=sold or re=homed. We must be given the option to take the dog back or find the dog a new home. This should be a legal requirement for breeders.

Suffolk Bullbreeds are a non=profit making breeder. Our motivation to breed our dogs is not financial.

We are dedicated to producing dogs of a very high standard. Our primary breeding interest is to produce Healthier Bulldogs, though we may occasionally breed a litter of hybrid staffs or mastiff crosses/bandogs. All breedings are done with health and temperament in mind. Basically any pup bred by SUFFOLK BULLBREEDS will be of the highest standard.

We provide on=going advice and support for the lifetime of our pups.

Our dogs are fed on a natural, B.A.R.F diet,(Bones And Raw Foods) Our dogs health has a lot to do with their diet. We add bone meal,(ground bones) to our dogs food, particularly when feeding pregnant and whelping bitches. At 2.5 weeks we start feeding our pups mince steak, we gradually add bone meal, boiled eggs, grated raw vegetables, brown rice and oily fish. We also boil the marrow out of large bones and feed the meat jelly to the pregnant/whelping bitch and to the pups. For those that think that going to these lengths to feed dogs is unnecessary, we would strongly disagree. Imagine training in a gym or distance running while eating a poor diet of microwave meals and other cheap processed foods. Obviously you would look and feel vastly different on a nutritionally balanced diet. It's no different with dogs. If you feed them a good diet the benefits will be clearly evident.

Suffolk Bullbreeds will only purchase pups from established reputable breeders. We will visit breeders with our children prior to using a stud dog or buying a pup and discuss as a family what we think of the dogs/pups. If we don't all agree on the dogs suitability then we look elsewhere. We will travel anywhere to get the right pup or to use a stud if we believe that a particular dog would benefit our breeding program. We will not use a friends dog for stud because it is cheaper and/or more convenient. We will not buy a good puppy over an excellant one to save money. As breeders we except that in terms of health and overall quality, you get what you pay for.

We assess the dogs we buy or use for stud very carefully in terms of health, temperament and appearance. Initially we look at the dogs photos on the breeders website, we then email the breeder asking for up to date pictures of the dog from every angle and   pictures of any pups the dog has sired. We ask about the stud dogs parents, grandparents etc, the dogs temperament, tolerance of other dogs or children and health problems in the dogs family history. If we are happy with the information provided we then arrange to visit the dog prior to mating. Pups parents are assessed in much the same way. A good breeder will have no problem with being asked about their dogs or allowing you to visit by appointment.

We temperament test our dogs prior to breeding. We have asked our vet about independent temperament testing.

We have a structured breeding program. A breeding is only done if we consider it beneficial to our program. We always keep a pup from each litter. Details of our breeding program will be printed on a seperate page currently under construction.

Our dogs are sold under terms and conditions of a Purchase Agreement, a copy of which is on it's own page.

Future litters will be sold microchipped with their first jab.

All pups will be vet checked prior to leaving us.

We would only breed from a bitch a maximum of three times with one years rest between breedings.

We use a waiting list and deposit system on our litters allowing pups to be reserved in advance.

We don't breed many litters, preferring the quality over quantity approach.

PLEASE REMEMBER THAT A DOG IS FOR LIFE. OWNING A DOG IS A 10 YEAR PLUS COMMITTMENT. IF YOU ARE IN ANY WAY UNSURE AND ARE NOT 110% CERTAIN THAT YOU CAN MAKE THIS SORT OF COMMITTMENT, DON'T BUY A DOG, IF WE ARE NOT ENTIRELY HAPPY WITH A POTENTIAL OWNER THEN WE WILL NOT SELL THEM A PUP.
